2.51 - And when We made an appointment with Musa for forty nights; then you took the calf after him while you were unjust.

2.52 - Then We pardoned you after that so perhaps you would give thanks.

2.53 - And when We gave Musa the book and the criterion so perhaps you would be guided.

2.54 - And when Musa said to his people: O my people! Indeed, you have been unjust to yourselves by taking the calf, so repent to your Creator and kill yourself, which should be best for you with your Creator, so He accepted your repentance. Indeed, He is the Acceptor of repentance, the Merciful.

2.55 - And when you said: O Musa! We will never believe you until we see Allah clearly; so the thunderbolt took you while you were looking on.

2.56 - Then We revived you after your death so perhaps you would give thanks.

2.57 - And We made shade over you with the clouds, and We sent down to you sweet drink and quails, eat from the good things which We have provided you; and they did not do Us any injustice, but they used to do themselves injustice.

2.58 - And when We said: Enter this village and eat from it from wherever you will in abundance, and enter the gate while prostrating, and say: Forgive our sins. We will forgive you your sins and We will increase those who do good deeds.

2.59 - But those who did injustice changed (it) to a saying other than that which had been said to them, so We sent down upon those who did injustice a plague from the sky because they used to be disobedient.

2.60 - And when Musa prayed for water for his people, so We said: Strike with your staff the rock. And there gushed from it twelve springs, so every people knew its drinking place. Eat and drink from the provision of Allah and do not commit corruption in the land, making mischief.
