17.61 - And when We said to the angels: Prostrate to Adam; and they prostrated except Iblis; he said: will I prostrate to whom You created from clay? 17.62 - He said: Have You seen that whom You has honoured over me; if You delay me until the day of resurrection, I will surely destroy his progeny except a few. 17.63 - He (Allah) said: Go; for whoever follows you of them, then indeed, hell will be your reward, an ample reward. 17.64 - And incite whoever you can from them with your voice and assault them with your horses and on foot and share them in wealth and children and promise them. And the devil does not promise them except delusion. 17.65 - Indeed, (as for) My servants, you have over them no authority; and sufficient is your Lord as Trustee. 17.66 - Your Lord is He Who drives for you the ships through the sea that you may seek of His grace. Indeed, He is ever, to you, Merciful. 17.67 - And when adversity touches you in the sea, lost are those upon whom you except Him. And when He saves you to the land, you turn away. And ever is the human ungrateful. 17.68 - So do you feel secure that He will not cause the side of the land to slide with you or send upon you a sand storm? And you will not find for yourselves a trustee. 17.69 - Or, do you feel secure that He will not return you back into it another time and send upon you a hurricane of wind and drown you for that in which you disbelieved? And you will not find for yourself against Us therein an avenger. 17.70 - And We have certainly honoured the sons of Adam and carried them in the land and the sea and provided for them from the good things and preferred them, over most of what We have created, with preference.
