Al-Ahqaf (The Dunes)
Translation
Verses 1-20
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful.
Ha Meem.
[Al Quran ; 46:1]
The descending of the book from Allah, the Mighty, the Wise.
[Al Quran ; 46:2]
We did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them except in truth and (for) a specified term; and those who have disbelieved are, from that of which they are warned, turning away.
[Al Quran ; 46:3]
Say: Have you seen that upon which you call other than Allah? Show me what they have created of the earth; or did they have partnership in the heavens? Bring me a book before this or a trace of knowledge, if you should be truthful.
[Al Quran ; 46:4]
And who is more misguided than one who calls other than Allah those who will not respond to him till the day of resurrection, and they are, of their call, unaware.
[Al Quran ; 46:5]
And when the people are gathered, they will be enemies to them, and they will be, of their worship, deniers.
[Al Quran ; 46:6]
And when Our clear signs are recited to them, those who have disbelieved say to the truth when it has come to them: This is an obvious magic.
[Al Quran ; 46:7]
Or do they say: He has forged it. Say: If I have forged it, then you will not possess for me (protection) from Allah; He is most Knowing what you allege concerning it. Sufficient is He as Witness between me and you, and He is the Forgiving, the Merciful.
[Al Quran ; 46:8]
Say: I am not an invention among the messengers, nor do I know what will be done with me or with you. I only follow that which is revealed to me, and I am not except an obvious warner.
[Al Quran ; 46:9]
Say: Have you considered if it is from Allah, and you disbelieved in it while a witness from among the sons of Israel has testified to something similar and believed while you were arrogant. Indeed, Allah does not guide the unjust people.
[Al Quran ; 46:10]
And those who have disbelieved say to those who have believed: If it had been good, they would not have preceded us to it. And when they are not guided by it, they will say: It is an ancient falsehood.
[Al Quran ; 46:11]
And before it was the book of Musa to lead and as a mercy; and this is a book verifying (it) in an Arabic tongue to warn those who do injustice and as good tidings for the doers of good.
[Al Quran ; 46:12]
Indeed, those who have said: Our Lord is Allah, and then straighten up, no fear will be upon them, nor will they grieve.
[Al Quran ; 46:13]
It is them who are the companions of the garden, abiding therein as a reward for what they used to do.
[Al Quran ; 46:14]
And We have enjoined upon the human, to his parents, the doing of good. His mother carried him in hardship and delivered him in hardship; and his gestation and his weaning is thirty months; until when he reaches his maturity and reaches forty years, he says: My Lord! Enable me to be grateful for Your favour which You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents and to do good which pleases You and amend for me my offspring; indeed, I have repented to You; and indeed, I am of the submitters.
[Al Quran ; 46:15]
It is them from whom We accept the best of what they have done and overlook their evil deeds; (they are) among the companions of the garden, the promise of truth which they had been promised.
[Al Quran ; 46:16]
And (as for) the one who says to his parents: Fie upon you! Do you threaten me that I will be brought forth while generations have already passed on before me? And they call for the help of Allah (saying): Woe to you! Believe; indeed, the promise of Allah is true. But he says: This is not except the legends of the former (people).
[Al Quran ; 46:17]
It is them upon whom the saying has become justified; among nations that have already passed on before them from among the jinn and mankind; indeed, they were losers.
[Al Quran ; 46:18]
And for all there will be degrees for what they have done, and so that He fully pays them their deeds, and they will not be wronged.
[Al Quran ; 46:19]
And the day those who have disbelieved will be exposed to the fire (it will be said to them): You exhausted your good things in your life of this world and enjoyed them, so today you will be rewarded with the punishment of humiliation because you used to be arrogant in the land and because you used to be disobedient.
