2.171 - And an example of those who have disbelieved is like the example of one who shouts with what is not heard except calls and cries. Deaf; mute; blind; so they do not understand. 2.172 - O you who have believed! Eat from the good of what We have provided for you, and give thanks to Allah if it is Him Whom you worship. 2.173 - He has only prohibited to you are the dead, and the blood, and the meat of swine, and that which is scarified in other (names) than Allah. And whoever is forced without desiring (it) nor transgressing, then no sin will be upon him; indeed, Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. 2.174 - Indeed, those who conceal what Allah has sent down of the book, and exchange for it a small price, those are the ones who eat not into their bellies except fire; and Allah will not speak to them on the day of resurrection, nor will He purify them. And for them is a painful torture. 2.175 - Those are the ones who exchanged guidance for misguidance, and forgiveness for torture. How patient they are going to be for the fire. 2.176 - That is because Allah has sent down the book in truth; and those who disagreed in the book are in a far division. 2.177 - Righteousness is not that you turn your faces toward the east and the west, but righteousness is by one who believes in Allah and the last day and the angels and the book and the prophets, and happily gives wealth to the relatives and the orphans and the needy and the traveller and those who ask, and to free the slaves, and who establishes the prayer and pays Zakah (Alms); and the ones who fulfil their covenant when they take a covenant, and those who are patient in hardship and tribulation; and during hardship those are the ones who are truthful, and those are the pious. 2.178 - O you who have believed! Legal retribution is ordained upon you concerning those who are killed, the free for the free, and the slave for the slave, and the female for the female. And whoever (the perpetrator) is pardoned in anything concerning his brother (the victim), then there should be a follow-up and payment to him (the victim) in kindness. This is alleviation from your Lord and a mercy. And whoever perpetrates after that, then for him is a painful torture. 2.179 - And there is for you in legal retribution life, O you who possess minds, that you may fear. 2.180 - It is ordained upon you, when death comes to one of you, if he leaves behind a good will; it has to be for the parents and the relatives in kindness. A duty upon the pious.
